Indigenous Adult Language Revitalization and Education

Erika Katjaana Sarivaara, PhD, is currently working as a Sámi Language and Culture Lecturer in Teacher Education at the University of Lapland, Finland. She has also conducted postdoctoral projects on the Inari Sámi language at the same institution. Her research interests are indigenous research, Sámi education, cultural identity, indigenous education, and critical Sámi research and revitalization. Her publications include The Core Questions of Sámi Pedagogy (2014).Kaarina Määttä, PhD, is Professor of Educational Psychology and Vice-rector at the University of Lapland, Finland. Her research interests are human relationships and love, teacher training and education, university pedagogy and supervision, and indigenous research. Her publications include The Psychology of Study Success in Universities (2018).Satu Uusiautti, PhD, is Professor of Education at the University of Lapland, Finland. Her research interests are positive psychology and human strengths, happiness, success, and well-being in diverse educational and work contexts. Her publications include The Basics of Caring Research (2016), and Critical Eye on Education (2015).
