Author Don Launer is known to boaters for his Cruising Guide to New Jersey Waters, an information-packed work for those who would set sail in and around the Garden State. Over the years Launer, who sails his 32-foot schooner Delphinus out of Forked River, has written many how-to articles, especially in the magazine Good Old Boat. Now Launer has put a selection of his articles between the covers of a book, Lessons From My Old Boat. It is a combination how-to, hardware, electronics, rigging, accommodations guide presented in a down-home style, easy to read and entertaining.
