Beskrivning
Jonathan Gibson's 2 Peter Bible study helps participants learn how keeping heaven in view guides their daily goals and choices while strengthening their hope.According to 2 Peter, one day the earth will be renewed by fire, and we will live together in a new world where all wrongs are righted and all sorrows swept away. Because we have this sure hope, we can turn from living for ourselves and for what we want in the moment. Instead, we can follow Jesus into the hardest places as we keep eternity in focus.2 Peter: Living with the End in Mind helps readers learn to follow Jesus into the hardest places. We live for Jesus and grow like him, because some day we will be with him forever.

"Second Peter can be difficult to understand, but we would be greatly impoverished not to heed its message. I therefore highly recommend this concise study guide by Jonathan Gibson that highlights the richness and relevance of this epistle in our own day. This guide navigates the difficult portions adeptly, explains the pastoral emphases clearly, and encourages us all to follow Christ more faithfully."Brandon D. Crowe, Professor of New Testament, Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia"If you are looking for a small group study of 2 Peter, look no further! Jonathan Gibson has provided us with a sure-footed guide for appropriating its life-giving counsel through eight concise lessons, each featuring a brief vigorous exposition of the text and carefully wrought exercises and questions that will promote, as the title says, living with the end in mind."Kent Hughes, Senior Pastor Emeritus, College Church, Wheaton, IL"This outstanding resource from Jonathan Gibson will help your group understand 2 Peter and hear what God is saying to you through his Word. It will also help you grasp the theological implications of the text and see how they apply to your life. Highly recommended!"Peter Orr, New Testament Lecturer, Moore Theological College, Sydney, Australia
