The custom of fathers writing to their children is an ancient custom that was told to us in the Holy Qur''an in Luqman''s advice to his son, and the Persian advice known as Juwaydan Khurd. Kings often advised their crown princes with advice that would guide them in the future of their lives, and kings also often advised their workers on how to proceed and what method to follow: Omar bin Al-Khattab gave Abu Musa Al-Ash''ari his famous advice on how to proceed in the judiciary. They said: Ali bin Abi Talib advised Al-Ashtar Al-Nakha''i with his famous advice when he appointed him governor of Egypt, and these advices have continued in literary history to this day, and the last of them was the advice of the late Muhammad Hafez Awad Bey to his son.
