Animals in the Anthropocene

The Human Animal Research Network (HARN) at the University of Sydney was formed in 2011. It is a cross-faculty research group, comprising members from the humanities, natural sciences, public health, social sciences and veterinary medicine, that focuses on studying the multifaceted and multidimensional relationships between humans and non-human animals. The HARN Editorial Collective includes Madeleine Boyd, Matthew Chrulew, Chris Degeling, Agata Mrva-Montoya, Fiona Probyn-Rapsey, Nikki Savvides and Dinesh Wadiwel.

‘HARN’s Animals in the Anthropocene proves to be a valuable contribution to the interdisciplinary field of human-animal studies. It is wide-ranging in scope and in methodology, presenting a diverse set of frameworks through which we might begin to answer questions of multispecies responsibility and justice.’
