Comparative Assessment of Social Issues in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean

Brenda I. Gill is professor and associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Alabama State University.George K. Danns is professor of sociology in the Department of Sociology and Human Services at the University of North Georgia.

Despite their differences and complexities, this book tackles the massive undertaking of comparing social issues in Latin American, Caribbean, and African regions. The editors are commended for carefully selecting scholars and topics. The work will be a stimulant for expanded discussion and debates but certainly a catalyst for future research.
