Human Leadership

Claudia Megele is Assistant Director of Cafcass. She was previously Chair of the Child and Family Principal Social Worker Network, Head of Quality Assurance at two local authorities, and prior to that was Senior Lecturer and PQ/CPD Programme Leader at Middlesex University. Claudia has also served in a number of public and third sector posts and organisations including: member of the advisory board of the National Children's Bureau (NCB), Trustee at Mind, and the Chair and Vice-Chair of Tower Hamlets Police and Community Safety Board.

Throughout the long-trodden journey of safeguarding child and adults, we need to be constantly reminded to bear witness to the lived experience of victims, survivors and perpetrators if we are to prevent neglect, harm, abuse, exploitation and violence in our families, across our communities and within our workplaces.This power collection of leadership journeys contains authentic reflections and offers hopefulness that we can learn from each other.
