Karen Perham-Lippman, CDP®, Ph.D., is a Senior Manager of Global Inclusion and Belonging at a Fortune 500 company in the manufacturing industry and Principal and Founder of Monarch Sustainable Change Partners, LLC. With nearly fifteen years of experience driving significant results in global DEI, ESG, and social impact strategies, she holds a Certified Diversity Professional credential, and a certification in Ethics of AI from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Dr. Perham-Lippman teaches business, communications, and organizational leadership as an adjunct professor at undergraduate and graduate levels.Ada T. Cenkci, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Organizational Leadership in the Department of Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership at Northern Kentucky University. She also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Managerial Psychology. Dr. Cenkci holds a Ph.D. in Management and Organization, an MBA, a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, and a Master of Education in Educational Technology from Wright State University.

While the developmental roots of leadership (and followership) clearly begin in the family, the context also matters.
