There are a multitude of reasons for migration: war, natural disaster, famine, poverty, or political oppression, among others. Immigrants or immigrant families commonly face many challenges in starting a new life in completely different cultural contexts. This edited collection provides a broad examination of immigrant families, with a particular focus on the causes, processes and consequences of migration. Mer om författaren

Josip Obradović is Professor at the Catholic University of Croatia. He has taught as Visiting Professor at New York University and University of Georgia and was a Fulbright Professor at Colorado College. He has published more than 100 research papers in Croatian and English, in addition to several books. Sampson Lee Blair is a Family Sociologist and Demographer at The State University of New York, Buffalo, USA. A Fulbright Scholar Award recipient, he has served as Chair of the Children and Youth research section of the American Sociological Association and Vice-President of the Research Committee on Youth in the International Sociological Association.
