He is co-author of Tourism and Resilience (with C. Michael Hall and A. Amore, 2018) and publishes on disaster tourism and organisational resilience.

Hall and Prayag present an excellent overview of the complex relationship between earthquakes and the tourism system. While tourism destinations and tourists will continue to be affected by future earthquake disasters, this book highlights that much can be done to mitigate earthquake risks, and that improving tourism resilience can expedite tourism recovery.
