War in Pre-colonial Eastern Africa

Of interest to researchers of pre-colonial African history, military history, and anyone involved in modern development and conflict resolution seeking to understand the deeper historical roots of African warfare.This is an examination of the nature and objectives of conflict in the major states of Eastern Africa in the nineteenth century.
