Jen Francis is a Producer in factual television, a scriptwriter, and a freelance script editor and film reviewer. She wrote the well-received play Ethan’s Bell (2019) and co-created, and wrote the web series phase two, which was shortlisted for the Edinburgh TV Festival New Voices Award.In 2023, a comedy script she co-wrote was longlisted for the Short Comedy TV Sitcom Writing Competition, and she had an original pilot script shortlisted for the Sky Arts Royal Society of Literature Awards in Screenwriting.As a producer, Jen has worked on notable programmes for Sky Arts, Channel 5, Channel 4, and the BBC. Her passion lies in creating a truly representative landscape in British television, both in front of and behind the camera, reflecting the diversity of the audiences who watch it.In the Scene: Steve McQueen, her first book, was commissioned by Supernova Books.
