Organized by seven routes, each of which is identified by a different color, the book highlights the most culturally relevant spots in the city. All of the routes cross the capital from north to south—taking the Basilica of Guadalupe and the Xochimilco docks as their start and end points—collectively moving through 165 sites that range from major cultural institutions and landmarks to off-the-beaten-path buildings and public spaces. Covering a wide chronological spectrum, from pre-Hispanic sites to 21st-century interventions, the book offers a comprehensive understanding of the city’s urban and architectural evolution. It includes a series of maps to help the reader navigate the city, as well as useful information for each listed site, such as QR codes to the attractions' websites, transport options and visiting hours, where applicable.
