    Som någon som läst i stort sett allt som finns att läsa av Kaczynski (och det mesta flera gånger) så skulle jag säga att detta är det bästa stället att börja för den som vill förstå honom och hans ambitioner. Få har hanterat så stora och komplexa ämnen med en sådan klarhet och tydlighet, och även om allt fler nu börjar oroa sig för den utveckling Kaczynski vände sig emot så har få tagit problemen på samma allvar.

    Denna bok innehåller bland annat Kaczynskis mest kända text, Industrial Society and Its Future (ISAIF), men medan ISAIF är en imponerande rik, insiktsfull och omfattande text så är den också ganska olik Kaczynskis övriga texter. De personliga brev och essäer som annars utgör majoriteten i Technological Slavery Volume 1 tjänar främst till att ge en rikare teoretisk och psykologisk kontext till ISAIF, vilket fördjupar förståelsen av både texten och dess författare.

    Denna fjärde utgåva är snarlik den tredje men skiljer sig mycket från den gamla utgåvan med "bombomslaget". Förhoppningsvis så kommer flera av texterna från den tidigare utgåvan istället i Technological Slavery Volume 2, vilken är under bearbetning.
