Mer om författaren
Greg DeMars is the author of Urban Fly Fishing Dallas–Fort Worth, drawing upon decades of fly fishing experience across North America and around the world. A retired mechanical engineer, award-winning photographer, and accomplished musician, DeMars brings both an analytical perspective and a creative sensibility to his exploration of the sport.A native Texan, DeMars began fly fishing in the Colorado Rockies in the early 1990s and has since pursued the sport in remarkably diverse environments, from the remote waters of Texas's Devils River to New Zealand's South Island and the foothills of the Indian Himalayas. His extensive travels and firsthand observations have deepened his understanding of fish behavior, aquatic environments, and the techniques that make fly fishing both challenging and rewarding. An avid fly tier, blues guitarist, and songwriter, DeMars approaches his interests with the same curiosity and attention to detail that characterized his engineering career. He also enjoys woodworking, photography, cooking for friends, and the occasional dram of fine Islay whisky. He lives in the Dallas area with his wife, his college sweetheart.
