Edward W. Glazier is a maritime social scientist and ocean planner with over 3 decades of experience. He is Vice-President of Impact Assessment, Inc., former Sociocultural Specialist for the U.S. Department of the Interior in Alaska, and former Acting Director of the Socioeconomic Research and Planning Division for the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Marine Fisheries Service in Hawaii. He is also author of numerous technical reports, articles, and books, including Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management in the Western Pacific (2011) and Hawaiian Fishermen (2007).
