Dr. Padmini Pani is an Associate Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India, where she works at the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, at the School of Social Sciences. She has a Master’s Degree in Geography and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS. Other specialities include Geomorphology, Land Degradation, River Systems, Climate Change, Mountain Ecosystems, Environment and Development. She was visiting fellow at Lancaster University, University of Southampton, and University of British Columbia, Canada. Dr Pani was a DAAD fellow at the Institute of Physical Geography of the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, where she worked on land degradation.Dr. Padmini Pani has over a decade in teaching and research experience and published numerous articles.
