This book presents a cultural history of psychology that analyzes the diverse contexts in which psychological knowledge and practices have developed in Latin America.
Julio César Ossa received his degree in psychology from Universidad Del Valle at Cali, Colombia. He has a master`s and PhD in psychology from the same university. Currently he is a psychology professor at the Fundación Universitaria de Popayan. In addition, Julio is the coordinator of the Ibero-American Network of Researchers in History of Psychology. His main areas of research are related with history, political psychology and child development psychology. Gonzalo Salas received his degree in psychology from Universidad de la Serena, Chile. He holds a PhD in education with specialization in pedagogical mediation from Universidad de la Salle. Gonzalo has a post doctorate in a multidisciplinary continuing education program for doctors in the social sciences, humanities and arts. Currently he is working as a professor at the Universidad Católica del Maule in Talca, Chile. His main areas of research are related with history of psychology and education.Hernan Scholten received his degree in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he currently works as a professor and researcher. Hernan is part of the Ibero-American Network of Researchers in History of Psychology, member of the Historical Studies of Psychology in Argentina Program and member of the advisory committee of the Argentine Center for the History of Psychoanalysis, Psychology and Psychiatry. His main areas of research are related with history of psychology and education.
