    Beskrivning

This is the first holistic book written by African Fundraising Practitioners for Africa focused on Fundraising and Development techniques in Higher Education Institutions. The historiography situates the debate within the political and socio-economic landscape of South Africa, intra-continentally (Africa) and globally (looking at UJ’s multilateral agenda). The authors scope the discussion and outline what has had led to the 2005 amalgamation and set the stage for discussions on the current Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR/4.0) era and the relevance thereof in education development. The chapters situate the debate within a Marxist critique, a Neo-classical critique, and a Pan-Africanist neo-realist economic convergence critique. These critiques are uniquely poised to provide a contemporary account of UJ’s three waves of transformation aligned to fundraising initiatives within collaborative partnerships of business, government, philanthropy, and international organisations at national, regional, continental and international levels further outlined in the book.
