    Muluken Zegeye Getie, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering (energy) at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Bahir Dar University. He earned his Ph.D. from Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté, France, an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Bahir Dar University, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Mekelle University, Ethiopia. His primary roles include teaching, advising graduate students, and conducting research focused on energy transition, efficiency, solar energy, and renewable energy. Dr. Getie has published more than 40 papers and has held various administrative positions at the University, such as Faculty Dean and Research Director. He is a member of the European Alliance for Innovation and is active in community-based professional activities, including manuscript review and conference organization.Kibret Mequanint, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Western University, Canada. His research centers on biomaterials, tissue engineering, and polymer science, with a focus on cell-material interactions and the design of biomedical devices. He has contributed to translational research, published over 200 research articles in leading journals, and delivered more than 100 invited talks at major international conferences and research institutions. His work has been acknowledged with major awards nationally and internationally, including the Engineering Medal for Research and Development from the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (Canada), the Engineering Research Excellence Award from the University of Western Ontario, and the Ontario Premier's Research Excellence Award from the Government of Ontario, Canada. His international recognition is further evidenced by his election as a fellow of the American Institutes for Medical and Biological Engineering (FAIMBE), a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (FCAE), a fellow of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (FEAS), a fellow of the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE), and a fellow of the European Alliance for Innovation (FEAI). Eshetu Getahun, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Energy Systems Engineering at Bahir Dar University. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering, an MSc, and a Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Bahir Dar University, in collaboration with KU Leuven, Belgium. Since 2012, he has supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students and published over 20 articles on renewable energy. His research focuses on renewable energy and computational fluid dynamics, and he teaches courses on energy systems.Niguse Aweke Sahle, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Material Science and Engineering at Bahir Dar University. He earned a BSc in Chemistry from Jimma University, an MSc in Organic Chemistry from Mekelle University, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from NTUST, Taiwan. A postdoctoral researcher at Uppsala University from 2022 to 2024, his research interests include electrochemical engineering for energy storage and antimicrobial natural products. He has published numerous papers and serves as a conference peer reviewer.
