Seun Bamidele is a senior lecturer at Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria. He holds a first DPhil in Peace and Security Studies (Nigeria) and a second DPhil in Development Studies (South Africa) and teaches various courses including Security, Conflict and Development Studies. He held scholarships in institutions such as Gerda Henkel Stiftung, Germany; Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa Program, Social Science Research Council and Carnegie Corporation of New York; CODESRIA College of Academic Mentors Institute, Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Dakar, Senegal and Carnegie Corporation of New York, USA; Women in International Security (WIIS), Washington, USA; and Equator Peace Academy, Uganda Martyrs University, Uganda. He has authored outstanding publications and peer-reviewed articles in Resources Policy; Development Studies Review; Social Change; GeoJournal; African Conflict and Peacebuilding Review; India Quarterly: A Journal of International Affairs; International Journal on World Peace; International Journal on Minority and Group Rights; Jadavpur Journal of International Relations; and African Journal of Legal Studies. and delivered communications within two continents. My research interests are multidisciplinary, as they cover African affairs, forced migration, internal displacement, crisis management, development, peace, conflict studies, politics and governance, coping and survival and coping strategy of women refuge, and internally displaced women and, environmental politics. I have experience in workshop facilitation and training in peacebuilding in African countries.
