His research interests include technologies applied to diverse areas such as higher education, environment, and health, as well as mobile computing and vehicular networks, and he has participated in several international research and cooperation projects.Pedro Liberato holds Ph.D. in tourism management and planning, from the University of Vigo (Spain). He is Associate Professor at the Tourism and Leisure Department of the School of Hospitality and Tourism (Polytechnic Institute of Porto), where he teaches several curricular units in Tourism at the undergraduate and master levels. Currently, he coordinates the tourism management master's degree and the tourism and leisure department at the same school (ESHT-P.PORTO). His main research interests are tourism marketing, digital marketing, tourism planning, creative tourism, e-tourism, and smart destinations. He is Author or Co-Author of more than 100 book chapters and articles published in international journals and international conference proceedings, indexed by Scopus and/or Web of Science.
