In addition to serving as a reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed scientific journals, he is currently a Section Editor for the journal PLoS ONE responsible for policy drafts for the journal and identification and management of special issues. Gadgeel is a Professor in the Department of Oncology at Karmanos Cancer Institute/Wayne State University in Detroit.
