Die Erfahrung von Not, Leid und Ungerechtigkeit ist von jeher eine der großen Herausforderungen an die Gotteslehre. Sowohl die exegetische als auch die systematisch-theologische Forschung zum Hiobbuch konzentrieren sich mehrheitlich auf die Frage nach Gottes Rechtfertigung (die sogenannte Theodizee) als Mitte der Auslegung.Das Hiobbuch in seinen vielfältigen theologischen und literarischen Facetten erlaubt es in exemplarischer Weise, die Rechtfertigung Gottes philosophisch-systematisch sowie biblisch-exegetisch in den hermeneutischen Rahmen der Anfechtung Gottes zu überführen. Das Verhältnis des Protagonisten Hiob zu Gott als seinem fraglich gewordenen Gegenüber führt zu der Frage, ob das Angefochtensein Hiobs auch zur Anfechtung für Gott wird. Die in dem vorliegenden Band gesammelten Studien stellen diese Frage in methodisch divergierende sowie theologisch vielfältige Antworthorizonte.[The Temptation of God. Both the exegetical and the systematic-theological research on the Book of Job focus mostly on the question of God''s justification (the so called theodicy).The Book of Job with its various theological and literal facets allows exemplarily to transfer in a philosophical-systematic and biblical-exegetical way the justification of God into the hermeneutical frame of the temptation of God. Job''s relationship with God as his counterpart that now has become questionable leads to the question if the temptation of Job becomes also the temptation of God.
