Praktische Theologie und Religionspädagogik scheinen innerhalb der Organisationsstrukturen vieler evangelisch-theologischer Fakultäten im Blick auf die jeweiligen Fachkulturen, Lehrbuchreihen, Bezugswissenschaften, Karrierewege und professionstheoretischen Reflexionen als zwei inzwischen deutlich voneinander unterschiedene Fachdisziplinen zu firmieren. Die jeweiligen Fachdebatten scheinen sich in thematischer, interdisziplinärer, methodologischer und oftmals auch personeller Hinsicht von den Diskursen innerhalb der je anderen Teildisziplin immer mehr voneinander abzukoppeln.Es stellt sich die Frage, ob solche Versäulungstendenzen angesichts der gemeinsam zu bearbeitenden Pluralitätsdynamiken in individueller Lebenswelt, Gesellschaft, Kirche und theologischer Wissenschaft noch zeitgemäß sind. Deshalb leuchten die Beiträge dieses Bandes gemeinsame Fragestellungen und wissenschaftstheoretische Grundlagen einer neu zu kultivierenden disziplinären Verwandtschaft von Praktischer Theologie und Religionspädagogik aus.[Practical theology and religious education. Systematic, empirical and thematic reflections on their relationship]Practical theology and religious education seem to operate within the organisational structures of many Protestant theological faculties, in view of the respective subject cultures, textbook series, reference sciences, career paths and reflections on professional theory as two disciplines clearly differentiated from each other. The disciplinary debates seem to be increasingly disconnected from the horizons of knowledge and discourses within the other sub-discipline(s) in thematic, interdisciplinary, methodological and often also personnel terms. The question arises whether such specializations and tendencies of pillarization are still up-to-date in view of the pluralistic dynamics in individual life-world, society, church and theological science. For this reason, the contributions in this volume illuminate common questions, scientific theoretical foundations and research-related possibilities of a new disciplinary relationship between practical theology and religious education studies by means of systematic, empirical and thematic approaches to possible new forms of a constructive relationship.
