Das seit 1880 kontinuierlich herausgegebene Jahrbuch ist zentrales Forum für Fragen der Geschichte des Protestantismus in Österreich und der Habsburgermonarchie. Der vorliegende 138. Band versammelt Beiträge zu den ›Erweckungsbewegungen‹ des 19. Jahrhunderts vornehmlich auf dem Gebiet des heutigen Österreich. Sie widmen sich den Netzwerken der ›Erweckten‹ und ihren Kontakten nach Österreich, den Einflüssen der Basler Mission sowie den Anfängen der methodistischen Bewegung und nehmen mit Martin Boos und Ferdinand Carl Kühne zwei Protagonisten der oberösterreichischen ›Erweckungsbewegungen‹ in den Blick. Mit den Tagebuchaufzeichnungen der oberösterreichischen Pfarrerswitwe Julie Blank wird ein eindrückliches Zeugnis ›erweckter‹ Frömmigkeit präsentiert.Ein weiterer Aufsatz beschäftigt sich mit dem Geheimprotestantismus in Niederösterreich in der ersten Hälfte des 18. This 138th volume gathers contributions on the "revival movements" of the 19th century, primarily in the territory of present-day Austria. They are dedicated to the networks of the "revivalists" and their contacts to Austria, to the influences of the Basel Mission as well as to the beginnings of the Methodist movement, and they examine Martin Boos and Ferdinand Carl Kühne, two protagonists of the Upper Austrian "revivalist movements". The diary entries of the Upper Austrian pastor''s widow Julie Blank represent an impressive testimony of "revivalist" piety.A further essay deals with secret Protestantism in Lower Austria in the first half of the 18th century, and the bibliography that follows is devoted to the history of Protestantism in Carinthia.
