About Monopoly Industries. How monopolies are protected from competition, technological advantages, and certain configurations of demand and supply

During this work I will outline how monopolies are protected from competition, including laws that prohibit competition, technological advantages, and certain configurations of demand and supply. Furthermore, I will then discuss how a monopoly will choose its profit-maximizing quantity to produce and what price to charge. Lastly comes the exploration of how monopolistically competitive firms choose their profit-maximizing level of output.
