Book of Aparellar de Menjar

The Llibre d'aparellar de menjar is an extensive cookbook, written and compiled around the middle of the fourteenth century. It is a recipe collection that, until now, has remained inaccessible to the general public. Its recipes reflect the tastes of the affluent classes of late medieval Catalonia, while also constituting a synthesis of medieval gastronomic literature and a cornerstone of the Catalan culinary tradition, whose influence continues to the present day.
