The Road to Sweden

"The Road to Sweden" is a true, remarkable story, and a historical document of Iranian contemporary society. Through the eyes of a young Iranian refugee we witness the background of his dramatic escape and the hardships he encounters on the way to Sweden.
It is also a story about despair and disillusionment but also a story about human´s belief in the future, the will to live and survive.

"The Road to Sweden" was first published in Swedish 1999 as chapter one of seven in the book originally titled “På vägen till Sverige.”
