    Anand Kumar Pathak was born on 5th January, 1974 and did graduation and post graduation from Veterinary College, Durg and PhD from IVRI, Izatnagar. He is currently working as Associate Professor in the Division of Animal Nutrition, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and AH, SKUAST-Jammu. He started his carrier as Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine and Animal Nutrition, Veterinary College, Durg followed by Scientist Cum General Manager (Poshak Feeds India Pvt Ltd), Karnal and Research Associate in PN Laboratory AN Division IVRI Izatnagar, Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor Division of Animal Nutrition SKUAST Jammu. He has 23 years of research experience in the field of Clinical Nutrition (Ruminants and Poultry). He was instrumental and pioneer worker in designing, fabricating and developing manually operated multi nutrient block, densified functional feed block and densified functional feed block making machines and commercialized condensed tannins enriched multi nutrient block (MNB CT) technology. He has published more than 80 research and review papers in the journals of national and international repute, 11 books, 62 book chapters, 41 popular articles, presented papers/ delivered invited lectures (more than 203) in conferences, workshops and trainings. He has successfully guided 10 MVSc students in the field of Clinical Nutrition (Ruminants & Poultry).Pathak is recipient of Awards like Distinguished Scientist Award, Award for Excellence in Research, Dr. Verghese Kurien Best Scientist Award, Best Innovator Award for multi nutrient and densified complete feed block making machines, Publons Peer Reviewer Award, Best Reviewer Award, NAVS Associate, Outstanding Scientist Award, Presidential Appreciation Award and ANA Dr. M S Rahal ANFT Best Paper Published Award, more than 22 Best Oral and Poster Presentation Awards and his 2 MVSc students got Sushila Pathak memorial Award for Best Thesis for master in Veterinary Sciences. He is also active member of many scientific societies and bodies as life member and portfolio holder and Fellow of Bose Science Society, Tamil Nadu, India, Fellow of International Society for Research and Development, UK, Fellow of National Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and Animal Welfare, Bareilly and Fellow of Animal Nutrition Association and recipient of CLFMA Award-2023. He was associated with many projects as PI and Co-PIs; in trainings as Coordinator and Co-coordinators, and village visit and re-visit programmes of the University. He has an expertise in feed formulation and preparation of least cost, eco-friendly functional feeds for livestock and poultry from locally available conventional and un-conventional feed resources. He has developed 3 entrepreneurs and established 3 DFFBs making units in 3 villages of Jammu as small scale business enterprises for self employment generation for rural unemployed youth under JKST&IC, DST project as PI.Nityanand Pathak was born on 1st July, at Balia, UP, after his Doctorate, joined in the research service at IVRI, Izatnagar. Later on he became Head of the Animal Nutrition Division on 1990. After few years, he was selected as Director, Central Buffalo Research Institute, Hisar, India. He was the Project Leader of Buffalo Development Project at Song Be in S.R. Vietnam (1982-84). Dr. Pathak worked with more than 150 co-workers. Dr. Pathak published more than 25 books and 350 research papers. He was hold the post as President, Animal Nutrition Association, Izatnagar, India and Animal Nutrition Society of India, Karnal, India. He had been also vice president of Indian Society of Buffalo Development, Hisar and Indian Society of wildlife and Zoo Veterinarians, Bareilly. He was hold the office of general secretary of NAVS (I), New Delhi. He is the founder president of National Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and Animal Welfare, Bareilly.
