Dr. Chakraborti received his PhD from Calcutta University (1982) and DSc from Kalyani University (2014). He did postdoctoral research at the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore), University of Utah (Salt Lake City) and New York Medical College (New York), USA. He received a DBT-Senior overseas research award for his research at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA.
