As one of the pioneers working on Synchronization, the author first book 'Synchronization in Nature and Technology' was published in 1988, by ASME Press. Since its publication, interests in the West in synchronization have growth, resulted in thousand articles published on this topic over the last 30 years. These include articles in general mathematical theory of synchronization and applications in mechanics and engineering, biology, economics and the social sphere.The proposed book plans to update and consolidate the development in the theory and applications of synchronization over the last three decades to relook into the advancement of Synchronization in Nature and Technology, to address the general definition of synchronization, and look into the different aspects of synchronization, including frequency synchronization, vibration, self- synchronization, autobalancing, vibrational retardation of rotation, unbalanced rotor in an oscillatory system, and the issues of self-synchronization and synergetic.
