New Face of Nuclear Energy

Our planet is overheating. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s May 2023 report predicts that global warming is likely to result in a 1.5°C increase in the world’s average surface temperature by early 2030, and that maintaining this already excessive level would mean achieving net-zero global greenhouse gas emissions. In other words, the climate emergency is real: if we don’t find a way to radically change course, our planet will soon become uninhabitable.
The energy transition is an absolute necessity. Some people think we have to choose between economic growth and the environment. This book shows that, on the contrary, these two imperatives can be reconciled with energy that is sustainable, clean, abundant, safe and affordable: the new face of nuclear energy.
