Jeff Evans has spent 24 years in the Automotive Industry. His certifications and education include: ASE MLR Certified, ASE Master Technician A1-A9, ASE Undercar Specialist, ASE Advanced Level Certified L1 & L3. General Motors World Class Certified, General Motors Master Technician Certified in Light Diesel, General Motors Master Technician Certified in Hybrid and EV, as well as an AAS in Automotive Technology from Citrus Community College a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of LaVerne, and a Masters Degree in Technology Management with an Automotive Technology concentration from Indiana State University. Before his role as a Department Chair of the Automotive Program, Jeff spent 13 years as an automotive professor at Ivy Tech, and 11 years as an Automotive Technician at two different independent automotive shops, Castner’s Automotive and Hill’s Garage. Jeff Evans resides in Indiana with his wife and three kids. Mark Emmons began his career as an automotive technician, earning L1 certification and advancing to Service Manager in the Pacific Northwest. With 20 years of service and diagnostic experience, he began a teaching career. He has held teaching positions in high schools, career centers, the South Puget Sound Community College, and Texas State Technical College. As a content creator, he has worked with Cengage, Electude and corporate training clients. He is currently a technical training specialist with Valero. He holds an associate degree in automotive technology from South Puget Sound Community College. Adam Karch is an ASE Master Certified Technician and experienced automotive educator with more than 15 years of combined industry and teaching experience. He began his career working as an automotive technician at an independent repair facility. In 2013, he joined the faculty at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, where he taught full time and served as Program Director for Automotive Technology before moving into his current role as Associate Dean of Career and Technical Education. Adam holds a Master of Science in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational and Professional Development from Eastern Illinois University. His work is grounded in real-world repair experience and a passion for growing the next generation of technicians. Mike graduated from the Arizona Automotive Institute in Glendale, Arizona in 1977. He received a certificate in automatic transmission repair from Clark College in 1978 and completed an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology in 1994. Mike worked as an automotive technician for various dealerships and independent service facilities from 1978 until accepting a faculty position in the Clark College Automotive Department. He has been teaching automotive technology full-time since 1995. In 2009, Mike was named Motor Age Training/ASE Master Automotive & L-1 Technician of the Year. He is also a certified Toyota Technician Education Network (T-TEN) instructor. In addition, Mike holds an ASE Master Automobile Technician certification, and ASE Advanced certifications in Engine Performance and Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicles. Mike continues to work part-time in summer for a local independent vehicle repair facility.
