Beskrivning
Rocky Horror from its first night on a tiny London stage, told from Richard O'Brien's own archive. In 1973, Frank N. Furter strutted onto the stage of a small upstairs theatre in London and the world was never quite the same. For the first time, O'Brien opens his archives for this two-volume collector's set, tracing the show from its origins to the global phenomenon it became. The first volume is the original 1973 theatrical script, annotated, with production notes, stage directions and full lyrics, rare performance images from the 1973 London and 1974 Roxy casts, cast memories and an archival piece by O'Brien. It also includes a Virgin's Guide: the complete script annotated with the classic audience callbacks. The second, Strange Journey, is an illustrated oral history based on Linus O'Brien's documentary of the same name. It pairs never-before-seen images, ephemera and design sketches with new interviews with cast and crew, including Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon, shadow cast performers, Trixie Mattel on what Rocky Horror has meant to the LGBTQ+ community, and Richard O'Brien himself. The definitive gift for any Rocky Horror fan, from first-timers to the ones who know every callback. Two volumes: the annotated 1973 script and an illustrated oral historyNever-before-seen images and sketches from Richard O'Brien's archiveNew interviews, including Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon

Linus O’Brien is a multidisciplinary creative and the director of Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror, a documentary celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show and its creator, Richard O’Brien. The film, produced alongside Avner Shiloah, Adam Gibbs, and Garret Price of Margot Station, has been honored with three awards: The Art of Storytelling Award at the DocEdge Film Festival, The Audience Award at the GAZE Film Festival, and Best Documentary at the Riverbed Film Festival. Linus’s love of storytelling was shaped early through a shared passion for cinema and science fiction with his father, Richard O’Brien. Before directing, he served as Head of Development at Network Entertainment, contributing to the Oscar-shortlisted feature Facing Ali, and later worked with acclaimed producer of 'Capote', Bill Vince as Director of District 319 in Vancouver. From music to film, Linus O’Brien’s work is united by a commitment to imaginative, boundary-pushing stories that resonate deeply with audiences. He is represented by Aleksey Ageyev, partner at Zero Gravity Management.
