In this ground-breaking and innovative collection, in-service teachers proved they can significantly contribute to the scientific body of knowledge by writing scholarly personal narratives about the dynamic and ever-changing 21st century teaching-environment. This collection offers a unique glimpse into academic writing and effective pedagogical practices which are suitable for teaching in the digital era. The book explored different themes related to effective teaching and students’ engagement. The main themes explored are collaboration in teacher education; innovative techno-pedagogical approaches; redefinition of pedagogy within a flipped classroom; innovative ways of applying TPACK in teaching science; improving students’ literacy skills using an adaptive tech tool; and the attainment of 21st century skills. Six of the seven chapters of the book were written by in-service teachers who were postgraduate diploma in education (PGDE) students and novel researchers. They received professional guidance to produce chapters which were double blind peer reviewed by experts in the field. In addition, chapters were critically read by an experienced professor of education who praised the initiative.
