Intellect of Charlie Kirk: A Collection of Writings, Ideas, and Stories from a Transformative American

Brent Hamachek met Charlie Kirk at a dinner table in the fall of 2013, when Kirk was a nineteen-year-old with a business card and a fledgling group called Turning Point USA. Thirty-one years his senior, Hamachek had no idea what he could offer the young activist; he only knew he had never met anyone like him. What followed was more than a decade of collaboration that helped shape one of the most consequential movements in modern American politics. The Intellect of Charlie Kirk is Hamachek's firsthand account of that partnership: the speeches, opinion columns, and radio monologues they built together; the persuasive techniques and Socratic method Kirk turned into a signature weapon; his gradual embrace of Donald Trump; the fight over Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation; the early warnings about Covid-19; and the private apology that repaired a year-long separation between the two men. Told through personal stories interwoven with the actual content they created, this collection reveals the intellectual engine behind Kirk's rise—and the friendship that powered it.Written in the year following Charlie Kirk's assassination, this is not a hagiography or a eulogy. It is, in Hamachek's own words, "e;just facts, told through stories,"e; from the man who had a front-row seat to watch Charlie Kirk's mind—and a movement—come alive.
