Baksidan av boken: Erik Berger - En Levande Legend Så har jag valt att kalla denna biografi. Erik Berger är plåtslagarsonen från Bengtsfors som dominerade standardvagnsracingen i Sverige på sextiotalet. Han satte Bengtsfors och Dalsland på kartan genom sina framgångar, samt genom byggandet av Dalsland Ring. Han blev först att ta 10 SM-guld inom motorsport. Han inledde sin motorsportkarriär redan 1947! 2015 fyller han 90 år och han gasar fortfarande! Efter mer än 500 tävlingar är han en av de mest rutinerade och välmeriterade förarna någonsin i svensk motorhistoria! Jag har ägnat hela mitt vuxna liv åt att dokumentera svensk racinghistoria i allmänhet, samt Dalsland Ring och Erik Berger i synnerhet. Denna bok är skapad av min kärlek till sporten och hängivelse till Dalslands främste idrottsman: Erik Berger!

Alla talar om bemötande. Inom omsorg, socialt arbete och vård, men också inom försäljning, ledarskap, service och utbildning. Ordet kombineras ofta med etik: Etik och bemötande. Författaren ger konstruktiva uppslag på hur man kan reflektera över och utveckla sitt bemötande i en professionell roll. I det avslutande kapitlet presenteras ett samlat förslag till en relevant bemötanderepertoar för socialt inriktade yrkesroller.Bemötandets etik är skriven för alla som utbildar sig för eller har en socialt inriktad arbetsroll. Dit hör chefer och lärare, liksom alla yrkesgrupper som arbetar med behandling, vård, stöd och service, till exempel arbetsterapeuter, läkare, poliser, sjuksköterskor och socialarbetare, och inte minst alla som arbetar inom omsorgen.

Ny bok om Hallands historia! När kom de första människorna till Halland? Har Halland verkligen varit ett eget rike? Hur gick det till när det danska Halland blev svenskt? Och hur kunde det en gång så fattiga Halland bli ett av Sveriges snabbast växande län? Detta och mycket mer om vår historia från jägarstenåldern till nutid finns med i denna bok Hallands historia - Gränsland genom tiderna. Inte sedan 1950-talet har det getts ut en bok om Hallands historia. Sedan dess har mycket ny kunskap och många nya perspektiv på historien tillkommit. Boken Hallands historia – Gränsland genom tiderna är rikt illustrerad och skriven av 36 författare, alla med specialkunskaper inom sitt område. Boken ges ut av Hallands Akademi.

På senare tid har vetenskapliga akademier för unga forskare etablerats runt om i världen. Så också i Sverige, där Sveriges unga akademi inrättades 2011. Dess syfte är att fungera som ett tvärvetenskapligt forum och en forskningspolitisk plattform för unga forskare i landet. Denna bok samlar korta självbiografier, skrivna av de forskare som utvaldes att bli den första generationen ledamöter av Sveriges unga akademi. Texterna är personligt hållna och kretsar kring frågor rörande yrkesval, drivkrafter och karriärstrategier. Hur blir man forskare? Hur är det att arbeta som forskare och forskningsledare? Vad krävs för att lyckas? Svaren ger råd och inspiration men bidrar också till reflexion och eftertanke. Eftersom ledamöterna representerar en rad olika kunskapsområden, från filosofi till nanoteknologi, ger boken samtidigt värdefulla inblickar i dagens vetenskapliga landskap: dess uppgifter såväl som utmaningar. Förordet är skrivet av nobelpristagaren Torsten Wiesel som också är akademins vetenskapliga beskyddare.

Dagen börjar med en orolig koll på mobiltelefonen, efter det där sms:et som talar om ifall det blir något jobb i dag eller inte. I så fall när, och var man ska befinna sig. Förhoppningen är att läsaren möts av en och annan oväntad koppling som sprider nytt ljus över det som för professor Petersson sedan länge varit känt.

Hur ser konstnärlig forskning ut? I detta nummer publicerar vi utdrag ur två avhandlingar i ämnet, en pågående och en avslutad. Tina Carlssons text "Utsikt från en grästuva" ingår som en av flera essäer i the skye is blue, som bland annat också består av fotografier och en utställning. Fredrik Nyberg skriver om Ilmar Laaban, och även om det sätt den konstnärliga forskningen ? som ofta presenteras även i andra former än skrift ? inte alltid går att göra rättvisa i en tidskrift, söker sig här ett gestaltande skrivande in i avhandlingens traditionella form.
