Este libro surge de la lucha feminista que se inició en Chile en 2018. Se pregunta en particular qué ha hecho posible que el feminismo tuviera un impacto mundial durante el año 2018 y cómo podemos entender su consigna principal: "La revolución será feminista o no será". Una de sus tesis principales es que el feminismo consigue transformar nuestra relación con la tierra, la historia y la política a condición de reconocer el carácter ya narrativo y técnico de la vida y del deseo, sin remitir entonces a la dicotomía entre naturaleza y técnica.Una de las inquietudes que formula este libro es relativa al prisma neoliberal en el que se insertan algunas demandas del movimiento feminista y desde el cual se desprenden nuevas formas de autoritarismos y de totalitarismos.Santiago 2019 fue escrito entre octubre y noviembre de 2019, durante una movilización social sin precedentes en Chile, y que aún perdura. Propone una lectura fragmentada de lo que ocurría en Santiago mientras la actividad económica y el tiempo se encontraban literalmente suspendidos. Dan cuenta de cómo las nuevas percepciones que tenemos de la precarización de la vida (y ya no solo de los individuos) afectan nuestras expectativas políticas y personales.
