First published in 1968, Demographic Analysis was written to provide a comprehensive account of demographic methods for those with a need to understand population movements.

It teaches by presenting statistical problems as they are encountered in practice against the background of day-to-day administrative procedures to which they relate. Special attention is paid to practices in the USA and to considerations of international comparability.
