The textbook represents the central foundations of developmental psychology in relation to the first six years of life. The entire book takes a culturally sensitive perspective and establishes a connection to the practice of social work and childhood education. Development theories such as the binding theory, as well as different areas of development, u. a. the emotional development, language development, cognitive development, the development of gaming behavior as well as sensory and motor skills are described.
