Si quiere saber un poco más, he aquí algunos spoilers.Si aún no ha presenciado ninguna muerte, lo hará más pronto que tarde; si, como es probable, aún no le ha ocurrido personalmente, le ocurrirá (le deseo que más tarde que pronto). Y sepa que, a pesar de su frecuencia e inevitabilidad, no sabrá lo que realmente ocurre hasta que le ocurra… y lo más probable es que no pueda contárselo a nadie y se lleve esa experiencia con usted… ya sabe dónde.Sí, puedo garantizarle, que aquí encontrará aproximaciones al fenómeno (aunque ninguna certeza). Hallará formas de morirse sin querer, otras que dan vergüenza ajena, alguna sagazmente inducida, las hay desesperadas y morbosas, también épicas, vengativas y delirantes. Bonitas y, no puedo engañarle, alguna asquerosa.Si quiere dar una última vuelta de tuerca a esta especie de prólogo y me pregunta de qué puede servirle la lectura de este conjunto de narraciones, le diré que no de mucho. Porque en realidad morirse no es algo que se escriba, se lea, se piense. Ni siquiera stricto sensu, algo que pueda temerse o desearse. Morirse es algo que solo puede hacerse y casi siempre sin querer.En todo caso, a mí me ha entretenido mucho escribir estos relatos y, a riesgo de resultar presuntuoso, aventuro que harán por usted algo parecido: distraerle. En mi caso, además, he llegado a considerar que, en el último y fatídico momento, repasaré mentalmente alguna de estas historias y confío en que aligerarán esa despedida con un amago de sonrisa.Una cosa sí puedo prometerle con absoluta seguridad, cuando procese la última palabra del último relato, que es «brillante», sabrá a ciencia cierta que, en ese preciso instante, usted sigue vivo.
