Anxiety affects millions, manifesting as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, phobias, post-traumatic-stress disorder (PTSD), and social anxiety disorder. During the past years there has been rapid progress in the understanding of how early life stress impacts psychopathology in children.
