Im Hinblick auf die erneut in den Vordergrund rückenden Debatten zum Thema Gemeinschaft versteht sich dieser Band als interdisziplinär-exploratorischer Versuch, der sich zwischen sozial-philosophischen und theologisch-ekklesiologischen Positionen bewegt. Anhand der gesammelten Beiträge wird eine kritisch-dekonstruktive Auffassung des Zusammenlebens präsentiert, die sich aus metaphysikkritischen und anti-substantialistischen Tendenzen speist. Zudem plädiert sie aus sozialphilosophischer Sicht für eine radikal offene und partizipatorische Kollektivität und entwickelt aus theologisch-christologischer Perspektive eine Ekklesiologie, die sich genuin pluralistisch und dynamisch begreifen lässt.
