Kulturens förnyelse börjar i liten skala, i familjen, i mindre gemenskaper. Mellan 1993 och 2019 undervisade han i Antroposofi vidDepartment of Art Therapy of the State University of Applied Sciences i Leiden, Nederländerna. Han har skrivit böcker om antroposofi, europeisk och rysk kultur, bland dem "The rising of the inner Sun" och "A Continent with a Global Mission".

This new and compelling book by Harrie Salman is a manifesto in which he analyzesthe ills of our times, calls out those persons and institutions he sees asresponsible for those ills, and issues a call to action. He addresses that call toaction to all of us who believe that individuals and groups working together canrenew and liberate our society. He calls on us to become fully human and enrich oursocial lives—impoverished by the lockdowns of what he calls "the healthdictatorship"—from the bottom up, with inspiration from the Divine. It is a noblecall, and Harrie is quite aware that the tasks he outlines will not be easilyaccomplished. Today, however, to take a stand for humanity is nothing less than aradical act of rebellion, of defiance, against a veritable blitzkrieg ofdehumanizing technologies that are assaulting all human beings—in body, soul, mindand, most of all, spirit. From synthetic biology to geoengineering to universalcovert and overt surveillance of everyone and everything, we human beings, allaround the globe, are moving, like it or not, into a very Brave New World. HarrieSalman presents a way out of a tragically polarized situation, in which people findthemselves on one side or another believing that those on the other side have been"brainwashed." He coolly and succinctly identifies the pieces of the puzzle and putsthem together in a coherent pattern that anyone, of any political persuasion, canrecognize. –From the Preface by Ed Conroy

We can be inspired by spiritual beings in social life. How does this come about?People used to receive such inspiration in places known as "mystery centers," wherecontact with spiritual beings took place through initiation. This was a processwherein the individual received training that would open the so-called organs ofperception, or chakras. In his latest book, The Social World as Mystery Center,Dutch philosopher Harrie Salman outlines the steps a person must take in his or herdevelopment to enhance social life. In a time of extreme polarization, Salmanexplains that we need to meet others with great warmth. We must resist thetemptation to force our opinions on those who cling to already-thought thoughts anddemand that others think, speak and act the way they do. People need to cometogether and support each other. Encounters must be met with genuine love for theother. In this book Salman guides us through steps we can take to build communitiesand cooperate with others as we travel together on a new path.
