This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Well-Being in the Information Society, WIS 2020, held in Turku, Finland, in August 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the conference was held online. 

The 19 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 25 submissions. The submitted papers present academic contributions on the topics of intersection of health, ICT and fruits of respect as seen from different directions and contexts. The paperd are organized in the following topical sections: improving quality and containing cost in health care and care for the elderly by using information technology; collecting the fruits of respect in entrepreneurship and management of organizations; friend or foe: society in the area of tension between free data movement and data protection; bridging the digital divide: strengthening (health-) literacy and supporting trainings in information society. 

The 14 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 17 submissions. The proceedings are structured in four sections as follows: ​mental well-being and e-health; social media and well-being; innovative solution for well-being in the information society; driving well-being in the information society.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Well-Being in the Information Society, WIS 2016, held in Tampere, Finland, in September 2016.

The 21 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 42 submissions. With the core topic "Building Sustainable Health Ecosystems" WIS 2016 focused on innovations and fresh ideas in the cross-section of urban living, information society and health as understood in a wide sense. The papers presented in this volume are organized along the following seven broad topics: 1. Macro level considerations of e-health and welfare, 2.Welfare issues of children, youth, young elderly and seniors, 3. Analytics issues of eHealth and welfare, 4. National/regional initiatives in eHealth and welfare, and 5. Specific topics of eHealth. The papers in these topics span qualitative and quantitative analysis, empirical surveys, case studies as well as conceptual work.

This book constitutes revised selected papers from the 15th Workshop on e-Business, WeB 2016, held in conjunction with the International Conference on Information Systems, ICIS, in Dublin, Ireland, in December 2016.

WeB 2016 provided a forum for scholars to exchange ideas and share results from their research. Original articles addressing a broad coverage of technical, managerial, economic, and strategic issues related to consumers, businesses, industries, and governments were presented at the workshop, employing various IS research methods such as case study, survey, analytical modeling, experiments, computational models, and design science.

The 15 full and 8 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 46 submissions. They deal with the “Internetworked  World” focusing on digitalization, consumerization, global platforms, and transformative innovations in industry.

The 19 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 42 submissions. With the core topic "Fighting Inequalities" WIS 2018 focused on innovations and fresh ideas in the cross-section of information society and health as understood in a wide sense. The papers presented in this volume are organized along the following broad topics: digital society and e-health.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Electronic Commerce, ICEC 2013, held in Turku, Finland, in August 2013. The theme of ICEC 2013 was "effective, agile, and trusted e-services co-creation” and reflects the alignment between computerized, formalized business procedures with the need to flexibly adapt and innovate businesses on the spot according to changing customer needs and requirements.

The 13 papers published in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from more than 50 submissions, resulting in an acceptance rate of less than 25%. They are organized in topical sections on online advertisements and referential systems, recommender systems and pricing, social media, mobile services, business models, and societal implications.
