During our research on the Boone Family of America we accumulated adequate data to publish a standalone version for the Virginia Boone Family Immigrants. We also incorporated the necessary allied and collateral families in order to present the best possible opportunity for descendants to connect with some surety of accuracy. The Virginia Boone Family we identify as the Isle of Wight (IOW) Boone family branch, knowing that DNA test results prove the two lines are not close relatives and probably did not originate in the same geographical areas. Our goal was to prevent conflation of Pennsylvania and South Carolina Boone families, and the mixing thereof with or into the Virginia Boone family. We finally proved members of each branch living in close proximity in both North Carolina and Kentucky. It was at that point (early 1800s) we knew we could not expand our researcher efforts any further, which necessarily entails onsite research. We also keyed in on several landed gentry families in this book.

We proved John Washington''s first wife and parents, and proved the ancestry of all four of his wives. We documented John Washington of Surry County, and his wife Mary Ford, and included her ancestry. This book will challenge all readers thereto, for we eliminated much speculation with hard records that anyone can, if they try locate and verify on their own. Prior to this Washington Book, we published the Ball Family, which eliminated the famed Ball Family Committee of Pennsylvania Report admitted to the Library of Congress by an act of it in 1900. We included an Appendix with full details of the Berkshire Ball family of the Pennsylvania work.

This book corrects many previous errors pertaining to the Virginia Immigrant Ball Family in 1650. Most previous records we have attempted to validate show the Virginia immigrants as originating in Berkshire; however, there is no evidence whatsoever to prove Berkshire as the place of origin for the Virginia immigrants. The information presented in this book is compiled from fresh research, onsite if or whenever necessary, and it is independent of all prior works that purportedly document the Virginia immigrants. To validate this research effort, we included a separate historical record compiled using evidence that pertains only to the Ball family of Berkshire, specific to the manors of Barkham and Wokingham. It can be found as an Appendix in order to prove no member of that family ever immigrated to Virginia - That record is validated to later than 1701. This book also denies the credibility of the long touted Ball Family Committee Report as submitted to the Library of Congress.
