Den här boken består av två delar. I den första finns en beskrivning av lyrikens roll i skolan under årens lopp, en samling argument för varför man ska läsa och skriva lyrik och ett avsnitt om sambandet mellan lyrik och elevers språkutveckling. Till den här delen hör även en presentation av lärares attityder till lyrik samt några exempel på klassrumsforskning med lyrikanknytning.Den andra och mer omfattande delen innehåller allmänna metodiska reflektioner kring lyrikarbetet i skolan, synpunkter på högläsning av lyrik och framför allt en lång rad förslag till hur man kan skriva lyrik.I denna andra upplaga har avsnittet Lyrik och språkutveckling utökats. Vidare finns nu en rapport från skolans värld samt ett nytt kapitel, Från lek med ord till lek med dikt.Boken är avsedd som kurslitteratur i olika lärarutbildningar. Den vänder sig också till aktiva lärare, som vill dela sina elevers glädje, när dessa som diktare finner det exakta ordet och den oslagbara formuleringen eller ser vad ingen annan ser, till exempel en blå tussilago.

Welcome to IWQoS2001 in Karlsruhe! Quality of Service is a very active research field, especially in the networking community. Research in this area has been going on for some time, with results getting into development and finally reaching the stage of products. Trends in research as well as a reality check will be the purpose of this Ninth InternationalW orkshopo n Quality of Service. IWQoS isa ver y successful seriesof workshops and has established itself as one of the premier forums for the presentation and discussion of new research and ideas on QoS. The importance of this workshop series is also reflected in the large number of excellents ubmissions. Nearly 150 papers from all continents were submitted to the workshop, about a fifth of these being short papers. The program committee were very pleased witht he quality of the submissions andh ad the difficult task of selecting the relatively small number of papers which could be accepted for IWQoS2001. Due to the tough competition, many very good papers had to be rejected.

Future processorswill become smaller, provide higher performance, and consume lesspowerthantoday'sdevices.Suchprocessorswillsparko?newapplicationsin particularintheareaofeverydayconsumerdevices.Personaldigitalassistants, mobile consumer devices, and various smart personal appliances will soon be widelyused.Mobiletelecommunicationsystemswillincreasetheirbandwidth andwillyieldhighlyconnected,ubiquitouscomputingappliances.Ubiquitous computing induces a new way of thinking in system design: computers vanish into the background hidden behind the habitual human environment. These trends are the major topics of ARCS 2002, the "International Conf- ence on Architecture of Computing Systems", which continues and replaces the biennial series of German Conferences on Architecture of Computing Systems, organized by the special interest group on "Computer and System Architecture" of the GI (Gesellschaft fur .. Informatik - German Informatics Society) and the ITG (Informationstechnische Gesellschaft - Information Technology Society). The ?fteen predecessor conferences (except the EuroArch in 1993) were national conferences only, this is the ?rst German conference on computer architecture addressingtheinternationalresearchcommunity.Itservesasaforumtopresent current work by researchers from around the world, this year being focused on topics that aretruly changingourperception ofinformation processing- "Trends in Network and Pervasive Computing". The call for papers resulted in a total of 42 submissions from around the world.Everysubmissionwasreviewedbyfourmembersoftheprogramc- mitteeoradditionalreviewers.Theprogramcommitteedecidedtoaccept18 papers, which are arranged into 6 sessions with the result of a strong program. The two keynote talks by Ralf Guido Herrtwich (DaimlerChrysler Research) and Marc Fleischmann (formerly Transmeta, now Pixelworks) focus our attention on an innovative application area ("Communicating Cars: A Case for Ubiquitous Computing in the Automotive Domain") and on innovative architectures ("- croprocessor Architectures for the Mobile Internet Era").
