Der Band bietet eine Einführung in die Genese und Entfaltung moderner Organisation von der frühen Neuzeit bis zur Gegenwart. Organisation wird dabei als ein historisch spezifisches Verhältnis und als ein strategisches Element für die Konstitution, Etablierung und Reproduktion asymmetrischer gesellschaftlicher Strukturen begriffen.
