Having imparted courses on Spanish grammar in college for many years and despite the options, the author could never find a grammar textbook, manual, or course that could serve his students' needs fully. After regularly supplementing, and oftentimes completely replacing grammar textbooks with ihs own material, Oscar H. Moreno realized that the stack of supplementary material lying on his desk was not only popular among his students but also good enough for another Spanish grammar for college students. It is different and this grammar has been put together strictly on the basis of what shows to be academic and professional needs of students of Spanish. The approach to the teaching and learning of Spanish in this grammar is a linguistic one and makes reasonable use of specific terminology in the field of Spanish language studies.

This volume is the proceedings of the 10th InternationalSymposium on Applied Algebra, Algebraic Algorithms andError-Correcting Codes (AAECC 10),held in Puerto Rico, May1993.The aim of the AAECC meetings is to attract high-levelresearch papers and to encourage cross-fertilization amongdifferent areas which share the use of algebraic methods andtechniques for applications in the sciences of computing,communications, and engineering.The AAECC symposia are mainly devoted to research in codingtheory and computer algebra. The theoryof error-correctingcodes deals with the transmission of information in thepresence of noise. Coding is the systematic use ofredundancy in theformation of the messages to be sent so asto enable the recovery of the information present originallyafter it has been corrupted by (not too much)noise.Computer algebra is devoted to the investigation ofalgorithms, computational methods, software systems andcomputer languages, oriented to scientific computationsperformed on exact and often symbolic data, by manipulatingformal expressions by means of the algebraic rules theysatisfy. Questions of complexity and cryptography arenaturally linked with both coding theory and computeralgebra and represent an important share of the area coveredby AAECC.

Las dibujos no son solamente representaciones visuales: histéricamente han estado mas tiempo vinculados al gesto, a la abstracción y al símbolo, que a las representaciones miméticas.No existe una única noción de dibujo: éste se define desde el entorno en el que se inscriben sus practicas, por lo que existen categorías diferentes de dibujos según su especificidad.Dentro de cada campo del conocimiento, el dibujo no presenta una única estrategia de construcción: se presentan diversas maneras de preceder por parte de los dibujantes, lo que expande aún más el espectro de sus definiciones.
